A structured seven-step process that does the heavy lifting for you. Aside from the discovery call and the candidate interviews, your total time investment across the whole engagement is about 3 hours. We do everything else.

    Role scoping & brief

    Day 1–2

    We translate the discovery into a written role brief: outcomes, scope, tools, hours, KPIs, and security context. You approve it before we go to market.

    Candidate sourcing

    Day 3–7

    Our HR team in Brisbane briefs the recruiters across our PH, ZA, and FJ talent hubs. We shortlist against your criteria — never against availability.

    Vetting & shortlist

    Day 7–9

    Every shortlisted candidate is interviewed, skills-tested, reference-checked, and assessed against the security standards you operate to — before they reach you.

    Your interview

    Day 9–10 · ~1 hr each

    You interview the finalists yourself. We provide a structured framework so the conversations are productive, but the decision is yours — every time.

    Secure infrastructure setup

    Day 9–10 (parallel)

    Locked-down secure browser provisioned. Active Directory authentication configured. Loop connection to Australian-based data centres tested. Your access controls reviewed.

    Onboarding & handover

    Day 10 · ½ day

    Your new team member starts. We run a structured 30/60/90-day check-in. Your HR contact at Umbrella handles performance, leave, payroll, and any HR matters — directly with the team member.
