For most BPO providers, compliance is a conversation that happens after the contract is signed. The infrastructure is an afterthought. The accountability, when things go wrong, lands entirely with the client. Adam Benz and Dr Chris Cartwright watched this play out across the Australian market and saw the same gap every time: businesses with real data obligations being handed offshore staff through systems that were never designed to carry that weight.

The issue was never offshore outsourcing itself. It was the absence of infrastructure built to make it safe for the businesses that had the most to lose.

Umbrella Talent was founded to close that gap. Adam brought over a decade of experience building and scaling people-led businesses, with a deep understanding of what commercial growth actually demands, and what breaks when the operational foundations aren't strong enough to support it. Chris brought a career's worth of expertise in managed IT services, cybersecurity, and cloud infrastructure design, with a clear conviction that the security architecture supporting offshore work should be built to a regulated-industry standard from day one, not retrofitted when problems emerge.
